According to a new study by the Residenz Group Bremen, the majority of Germans expects significant bottlenecks in nursing homes for the next few years.
An important reason for this is the demographic change: higher life expectancy and a declining birth rate lead to an aging population. The interviewees also doubt that the Federal Government can carry this project and assume that there will be a large gap between demand and supply. For this reason, investments by private companies is of great importance to counteract a massive supply problem. This does not only apply to private companies – especially private investors can invest in individual residential units in a nursing home. These investments offer reasonable returns with manageable risks. In addition, investors do not have to worry about renting and maintaining the rooms or apartments and can even use them if necessary. By registering in the land register, it is easy to sell or to inherit these properties.
